October Preschool Happenings

Fall is here! Though the weather may be slow to recognize that it’s fall in Florida, our activities at Genesis Preschools has not missed the message! We are excited about all of the fun activities we have for students at Genesis East and Genesis West campuses during October.

The first special activity will take place on October 12th, when a local firetruck will stop by and firefighters will present all of the features and tools on the truck. We are so excited for our students to see how our first responders do what they do for us each day, and to be able to learn more about the tools they use. We are sure we’ll be seeing lots of excited faces that day!
On October 17th, our preschoolers will have the opportunity to see one of their favorite fairy tales brought to life. We’ll be encouraging them to practice their theater manners as they watch a local traveling troop perform “Jack and the Beanstalk!” Don’t be surprised if your preschoolers begin asking if those beans are magic!
Don’t forget that Friday, October 19th is a noon dismissal for students.  This early dismissal gives our teachers the chance to participate in inservice development and planning meetings.
Watch this space for the debut of Miss Tammy’s and Miss Brittany’s PK2 class on ONN! Their class will be featured on October 26th and all of our Owl News Network recordings can be found on our YouTube channel! Make sure you don’t miss it.
Last, but certainly not least, it’s almost time for the Fall Festival! This annual Genesis tradition takes place on the Genesis East campus on Mitchell Mill Road on Saturday, October 27th. You’ll have the chance to participate in games and the always popular class basket raffle. Back by popular demand? The pumpkin decorating contest and the chili cook off contest! Raffle tickets are available in the front office! We’ll see you there!
